Anti-Slavery Policy

Introduction

Azanzi Ltd is committed to the elimination of all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking in its operations and supply chains. We believe that everyone has the right to be free from exploitation and abuse, and we are committed to working with our suppliers, partners, and communities to ensure that our business is not complicit in modern slavery.

Policy

Azanzi Ltd prohibits all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking in its operations and supply chains. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Forced labour
  • Debt bondage
  • Child labour
  • Human trafficking
  • Forced prostitution
  • Organ harvesting
  • Forced begging
  • Forced marriage

Responsibilities

All employees of Azanzi are responsible for complying with this policy. Employees are required to report any suspected instances of modern slavery or human trafficking to their supervisor or human resources department immediately.

Azanzi will investigate all suspected instances of modern slavery or human trafficking. If an instance of modern slavery or human trafficking is confirmed, Azanzi will take appropriate action, which may include terminating the relationship with the supplier or partner involved.

Training

Azanzi will provide all employees with training on modern slavery and human trafficking. This training will cover the following topics:

  • The definition of modern slavery and human trafficking
  • The signs and symptoms of modern slavery and human trafficking
  • How to report suspected instances of modern slavery and human trafficking

Reporting

Employees who have concerns about modern slavery or human trafficking in Azanzi’s operations or supply chains are encouraged to report their concerns to their Line Manager or the Human Resources department. Employees can also report their concerns anonymously through Azanzi’s whistleblowing hotline.

Enforcement

Azanzi will take appropriate action to enforce this policy. This may include, but is not limited to, disciplinary action, termination of employment, and termination of business relationships.

Review

This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure that it is effective in preventing and addressing modern slavery and human trafficking.

In addition to the above, Azanzi will also:

  • Conduct due diligence on all suppliers and partners to assess their risk of modern slavery and human trafficking.
  • Work with suppliers and partners to implement measures to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in their operations.
  • Support initiatives to raise awareness of modern slavery and human trafficking.

We believe that by taking these steps, we can play a role in ending modern slavery and human trafficking.
